Info & FAQs
What will we have to do?
Not very much! We have a very relaxed, casual approach to photography, and believe that the best portraits are captured when people are being themselves. We prefer to have fun in order to capture the natural expressions. We experiment with fabric, props, light, clothing, artistic techniques, lenses and light to capture unique images of your pregnancy. We love being able to provide images which maybe one day will be looked at by your child who might say "is that really me in there Mummy?"
How many weeks pregnant should I be for the session?
Ideally, if you are coming for one pregnancy shoot, you need to be 36 weeks or more pregnant. If you are having our pregnancy documentary book, you'll come for at least 4 shoots during your pregnancy. The best time is when you are in the final stages of pregnancy. Please see our development chart for more information. Most of our clients then come back for photographs capturing the details of their baby's changing personality over the next year. |

Who takes the photographs?
Glenn or Caroline are available to take the photographs. They are friendly and approachable and will make you feel at ease. With a young family themselves, they are fully aware of how you might be feeling and work with you and around your needs
How long does the session take?
Your session will be individually tailored to meet your needs, but typically lasting up to two hours. We have lots of different ideas for stylish, natural images, and if there's anything in particular that you'd like, please let us know. We don't rush as we want to give you the time and attention you deserve |
What's the best time to have our photographs taken?
Please come when you are rested (not tired!). Allow yourself to conenctrate on the session by not scheduling too many appointments on the same day as your shoot. Our goal is for each mother to walk out feeling beautiful, having just spent time focusing on herself and her baby.
What clothes should we wear?
We recommend something you are comfortable in. Plain colours are best. Try and avoid anything with large stripes, logos or clashing colours. If in doubt, bring it anyway and we can decided during the shoot. You might like to think about wearing white, cream or very neutral colours, as these allow the focus of the photographs to be simple. Feel free to bring changes of clothing if you wish. We can take lots of photographs without clothes, and this is up to you, the client! Please bring a robe. All our images are taken very discreetly. |

What about make-up and jewellery?
Make up and jewellery are fine, although lots of jewellery can be distracting. If in doubt, bring it with you. You can always take it off
What else should I bring?
Please feel free to bring your partner if you wish.
What happens if I forget my appointment?
Your appointment time has been reserved especially for you. You have provided a fee in order to secure your date/time. Failing to show up for your scheduled time means that a portrait space has been left unfilled. We therefore ask you for a further fee as this demonstrates your commitment to the session |
What if I can't make the session?
In the event of family illness, we recommend that you call and reschedule the session. If you do not feel well are not at your best, d it is unfair to expect much. Trying to "tough it out" will only result in disappointment as poor health will show in the photographs and they will not portray you well. We would much prefer to reschedule a session if it means getting you photographs that you can truly be proud of
What happens if I need to cancel and rebook my session date?
We understand that other events in our lives can sometimes interfere with our appointment, and are always available to reschedule if the need arises. Please provide us with at least 48 hours notice however (except in an emergency) |

When will I see the photographs?
You can come back to our studio to see the photographs, or we can prepare an online gallery for you. This is usually available 1-2 weeks after your session
What if my family members want to select some images of their own?
The online gallery can be shared with friends and family around the globe. These individuals can then order online or contact us directly to place an order, or inform you of their selections and have you order on their behalf |
